The Olivet Teen Mission (OTM) South Asia recently held a meaningful membership meeting where two members joined the fellowship on site. The gathering became a time of learning, encouragement, and discussion about the ministry’s future direction.

During the meeting, the OTM South Asia leader shared a teaching based on the first miracle of Jesus, where He turned water into wine (John 2:1-11). She explained that before the miracle happened, the six stone jars had to be filled completely with water. Each jar was filled one by one, showing the importance of patience and obedience. Through this example, the members were taught that spiritual growth often requires persistence and faithful effort.

She also emphasized that the Christian journey requires consistency in walking with God. Just as the jars had to be filled fully before the miracle occurred, believers must faithfully continue their spiritual walk every day. Faith should not be something practiced occasionally but should become part of daily life.

To illustrate this point, she shared the well-known example of the tortoise and the hare. While the hare stopped during the race, the tortoise continued steadily toward the goal and eventually won. In the same way, believers are encouraged to remain steady and faithful in their relationship with God rather than becoming discouraged or giving up along the way.

The meeting also included a discussion about OTM’s plans for the coming month. Lastly, she shared the ministry’s upcoming activities and highlighted the urgent need for volunteers who can serve and support the growing mission of reaching and discipling teens.

The fellowship concluded with encouragement the members to continue growing in their faith and to remain consistent in their spiritual journey, trusting that God works powerfully through perseverance and obedience.

Teach the Pure Gospel: OTM Chapters to Hold onto God’s Word

During the 2026 US Mission Conference, guidance was shared with leaders, emphasizing the importance of teaching and holding firmly to the pure gospel. This message is a great encouragement for Olivet Teen Mission (OTM) chapter leaders and teen members to remain rooted in God’s Word and to center their lives and ministries on the gospel.

As Christians, we must guard against approaching faith in a merely lawful or legalistic way. While the law still has its place and should not be disregarded, salvation comes by grace. When the gospel is truly understood and embraced, the law is not followed out of obligation alone, but is instead naturally fulfilled. As the gospel takes root in our hearts, deeds of love are revealed naturally through our lives. For OTM leaders and members, this means that ministry must begin from the grace of the gospel rather than from outward duty alone.

In order to follow the pure gospel faithfully, believers are encouraged to meditate continuously on the Word of God. Ministers in particular were urged to be deeply immersed in Scripture, to the point of having “teeth white as milk,” reflecting the image of constantly chewing on and being nourished by the Word. Through continual meditation, believers can become soaked in the Word of God, allowing it to shape their thoughts, actions, and ministry.

When the Word is deeply known and faithfully lived out, then it can be proclaimed with power. OTM ministers are called to hold firmly to the gospel and to teach it faithfully to others. At the same time, OTM members themselves are encouraged to hold onto the gospel by studying the Word diligently and applying it in their daily lives.

The message also highlighted that true revival comes through revival of the Word. As OTM members and leaders meditate on Scripture, they are led to empty themselves of sinful ways and to seek lives that follow God’s will. Through this continual renewal in the Word, believers are strengthened to live according to the truth and to preach the true gospel.

May OTM chapters continue to hold firmly to the pure gospel, meditating on God’s Word and allowing it to guide their lives and ministry. As the Word takes root more deeply within each member, may their lives bear witness to the grace of God and proclaim the true gospel with clarity and conviction.

With great eagerness and passion, Olivet Teen Mission (OTM) Upstate New York teens went to New York City (NYC) yesterday on February 16th, 2026 to resume the evangelism.

Being encouraged by the recent Dover Sunday sermon to remember Jesus in your youth and evangelize with the identity that you have the gift of the Gospel to offer to others, teens went boldly and courageously sharing their hope of Jesus and inviting teens in NYC to join bible studies.

The teens marched around the streets of NYC like the Isrealite army that marched around the city of Jericho. They were able to speak to a few teens that expressed interest in the offer for bible studies and signed up to be contacted by a bible teacher.

After evangelizing, they had dinner fellowship and touring the Bow Bridge at Central Park before returning back to Amenia. Now that the weather is becoming warmer, it is an opportune time to catch teens at the nearby parks. An evangelism schedule will be set to increase NYC mission activity this summer. Teens will be able to join as interns to gain mission experience in the front lines.

Please pray for OTM NYC evangelism. May it continue to be a fruitful and joyful time for our 2ndGen as they participate in NYC mission!

Through the Lenten season approaches, Olivet Teen Mission (OTM) encourages all members and all chapters to prepare their members to walk together in faith from February 18 through April 5, Easter Sunday (excluding Sundays). This season serves as a meaningful opportunity for teens and staff to reflect on the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and to deepen their personal relationship with Him through intentional spiritual standards.

Suggested Standards
To support this journey, OTM Headquarters will provide suggested standards to guide chapters. However, each chapter is given the flexibility to adjust these standards according to the needs and circumstances of their members. The goal is not uniformity in structure, but unity in heart-walking together in remembrance, repentance, and renewed faith.

Bible Meditation & Prayer
At the center of this Lenten walk is the study of the Path of the Cross, focusing on John 13 through John 19. These chapters vividly reveal Jesus’ love, humility, suffering, and ultimate sacrifice. OTM has prepared dedicated material designed especially for newcomers, helping them understand the meaning of the cross in an accessible and personal way. Second Generation members are encouraged to study using the material prepared by the Main Church Network, allowing them to engage more deeply with the Word through resources suited to their spiritual maturity.

Reflection Meetings
In addition to Bible study, members will be encouraged to establish personal standards of daily prayer and reflection. These quiet moments with God allow teens to examine their hearts, express gratitude, and grow in spiritual awareness. Chapters are also encouraged to host weekly online or onsite gatherings, where members can share testimonies and reflect on how God is working in their lives throughout this season. These times of fellowship can strengthen unity and help teens realize that they are not walking this path alone.

Chapter Leaders Daily Prayer
Chapter Leaders are also called to grow intentionally during this time. They are encouraged to maintain a daily standard of at least 30 minutes of prayer. This prayer time can include repentance, thanksgiving, prayer for evangelism goals, intercession for their members, and personal prayer topics. As shepherds, their spiritual growth and prayerful support play an essential role in guiding teens through a meaningful Lenten journey.

Friendship Evangelism Challenge
In addition, members will be invited to participate in a “Friendship Evangelism Challenge.” Through this challenge, teens are encouraged to pray consistently for their friends and set a goal to invite them to the upcoming Easter retreat. This initiative helps teens live out their faith actively, sharing the hope and love they have received with those around them.

Through these efforts-studying the Path of the Cross, growing through prayer, gathering in fellowship, and reaching out in evangelism-OTM chapters can walk together with purpose and devotion during the Lenten season. May this time become a powerful season of spiritual renewal, drawing each member closer to Christ and strengthening their faith as they prepare to celebrate the victory of Easter – the resurrection of Jesus!

On Sunday, February 1, OTM KR kicked off its first Korea regional mission trip at Bethel Church in Pohang. The OTM mission team traveled to Pohang early in the morning to prepare for the Sunday service, reflecting on the significance of their mission work. Pastor Seonkyung Oh shared his personal mission experience in Pohang, saying, “Pohang is where I first began my mission work and encountered the God of Bethel. Starting our first Korean regional mission trip here feels like a moment to restore our first love, and I am truly excited and grateful.”

During his sermon, Pastor Oh emphasized the essence and mindset of mission work. “A mission trip is a time to experience God’s ongoing work to seek the lost sheep since the beginning of time. We are merely vessels used in His work. As seen in Acts 10, in the encounter between Peter and Cornelius, the important thing is not outward appearances but the heart’s true intent. Let us set aside human judgments and biases and approach others with God’s perspective, recognizing the souls He has prepared. Today, may we be instruments through which God’s heart reaches the people of Pohang,” he said.

After the service, OTM students shared their reflections. One student said, “I was afraid to evangelize in Korea, worried about being ignored or rejected, but hearing that we are seeking the souls God has prepared made my heart feel much lighter.” Another added, “I am grateful that the act of evangelism allows us to understand God’s heart. I hope to grow in this understanding through this experience.” They then shared a meal together, fostering fellowship.

The students paired up with local OTM members from Pohang to go out and share the gospel. Moving energetically to meet as many people as possible, they engaged in friendly competition. Afterward, one student said, “Evangelizing and meeting strangers was challenging, but doing it together made it joyful and rewarding.” Another shared, “Someone encouraged and blessed us during evangelism, which gave us great strength.”

Following their outreach, the OTM students enjoyed various fellowship activities, including an escape room game and a nighttime walk to the Cheomseongdae Observatory in Gyeongju. Through this mission trip, the students experienced the joy of sharing the gospel, deepened their understanding of God’s heart, and strengthened bonds among OTM members, writing the first page in a lasting album of cherished memories.
