OTM South Asia Membership Meeting Encourages Persistence in Faith

The Olivet Teen Mission (OTM) South Asia recently held a meaningful membership meeting where two members joined the fellowship on site. The gathering became a time of learning, encouragement, and discussion about the ministry’s future direction.

During the meeting, the OTM South Asia leader shared a teaching based on the first miracle of Jesus, where He turned water into wine (John 2:1-11). She explained that before the miracle happened, the six stone jars had to be filled completely with water. Each jar was filled one by one, showing the importance of patience and obedience. Through this example, the members were taught that spiritual growth often requires persistence and faithful effort.

She also emphasized that the Christian journey requires consistency in walking with God. Just as the jars had to be filled fully before the miracle occurred, believers must faithfully continue their spiritual walk every day. Faith should not be something practiced occasionally but should become part of daily life.

To illustrate this point, she shared the well-known example of the tortoise and the hare. While the hare stopped during the race, the tortoise continued steadily toward the goal and eventually won. In the same way, believers are encouraged to remain steady and faithful in their relationship with God rather than becoming discouraged or giving up along the way.

The meeting also included a discussion about OTM’s plans for the coming month. Lastly, she shared the ministry’s upcoming activities and highlighted the urgent need for volunteers who can serve and support the growing mission of reaching and discipling teens.

The fellowship concluded with encouragement the members to continue growing in their faith and to remain consistent in their spiritual journey, trusting that God works powerfully through perseverance and obedience.
