On August 5th, Olivet Teen Mission (OTM) International Leader, Pastor Amanda Garcia, delivered the Opening Message: Salvation and Lecture: Kingdom of God on the morning of the Philippines Membership Training. The messages focused on the big-picture themes of salvation and Heavenly Kingdom, highlighting the hopeful work of justification, sanctification, and glorification and the importance of living for God’s Kingdom.
Student department leaders had a time of workshop with the teen members in Philippines. The workshop was held after the activity session prepared by the Philippines members. There were four different workshops: Worship, Prayer, Design, Evangelism.
The first workshop was led by Chungwon Yoon, OTM US Worship Department leader. The Prayer Department leader, Dowon Kim led the workshop which was on prayer. Then Heewon Ham, OTM US Design Department leader led the workshop for design. Each department leader shared their personal testimony, then they shared what was done in each department. Lastly each department leader shared 3 practical advices on each topic. After the 3 workshops from 3 department leaders, Pastor Amanda, OTM representative gave a workshop on evangelism. During this last workshop, Pastor Amanda shared the importance of evangelism and gave some advices.
After all the workshops, all the members went out to evangelize. The teens shared flyers to many people inviting them to a Bible Study. When they came back from evangelizing, they had a joyful dinner fellowship. The membership training ended with a short time of prayer. All the teens and the student leaders had a joyful time together.
